RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR): Over 5 million Americans suffer from Hear Failure and in the 18-35 year old age group African-Americans have a 10 times higher risk of heart failure this according to the ABC The Association of Black Cardiologists.
Being aware is one way to combat heart failure, the other is to get moving and stay fit. Stacy Young of Fit Camp is teaming up with ABC to make more people aware of heart failure. Stacy’s Fit Camp kicks off today in Libby Hill Park, 2801 East Franklin Street, Church Hill for six weeks, Mondays & Thursdays starting at 6:30pm.
