RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — If you wanted to take your children to the playground this week, you may have to choose a different one.
The playground at the old Westhampton schoolin Richmond is now closed. The playground is moving to a new location near Granite and Libbie avenues.
However, not everyone is happy about the move. A CBS 6 photojournalist caught up with one mother who didn’t know the park was closed when we visited Tuesday afternoon.
“I think it’s the best playground. I’m really sad that it’s not there,” she said.
Bon Secours bought the site as part of the Redskins Training Camp deal.
The new park is expected to open later this spring.
