(WTVR) – The Boy Scouts of America recognized its 104th anniversary on Saturday. The group became incorporated back in 1910.
The group was in the national spotlight last year for its ban on allowing gay members. However, in the beginning of the year, the organization started allowing openly gay youths to join.
More than 60% of the group’s 1,400 member national council voted in favor of the change. The group still has a ban on gay adult leaders.
