RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The Richmond Ballet is sponsoring a new, interactive promotion campaign for their production of “Cinderella.”
Known for her missing glass slipper, the ballet has hidden a sparkling high-heel shoe around mystery areas in the city. Participants are to find the shoe, take a picture and share it on Instagram using the hashtag #BalletBlingRB. After the promotion closes on Feb. 9, the winner will be announced Feb. 10.
Kate Crowder, public relations and promotions coordinator for the Richmond Ballet, said that there is only one winner who will be the “photographer” or have the best and most creative Instagram photo of Cinderella’s missing shoe.
“We have been pleased with the way people around Richmond have been willing to engage with us in this way so far,” Crowder said. “It’s certainly new for the [Richmond] Ballet, but it’s a great time to have some fun with our social media followers.”
This promotion began Jan. 17 and will close Feb. 9.
