RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - A severe t-storm watch is in effect until 10 a.m. for northern Virginia. Storms moving in from the west are weakening, so any threat for strong storms is very low.
Outside of the storms, winds will be gusty across the entire area today with gusts over 30 mph. A Wind Advisory is in effect for higher elevations to the northwest (Albemarle County & points north & west from there) until 1 p.m. for potential wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph -- with some higher gusts possible.
