RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- The spirit of the holiday season is sweeping across the River City.

As part of the celebrations, organizers of Richmond’s Have a Heart 4 The Homeless group are readying to feed hundreds of people on Christmas Eve.

For weeks, the group has collected and wrapped gifts like scarves, hats and gloves to distribute to the homeless.

Now they are teaming up with Feed the City, local restaurants and caterers who have donated food. Owners of Paradise Lounge have donated the space for them to serve the crowd.

However, organizers said they can use more warm clothing items – and volunteers.

The celebration will be held at the Paradise Lounge at 112 North 5th Street from noon until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Call 804-909-4090 to volunteer.
