Trio arrested for ‘inside job’ in Ashland

ASHLAND, Va. (WTVR) - Two women and one man are in jail accused of hatching up and executing a plan to steal money from an Ashland gas station where the women worked,  Ashland Police Lt. James Shelhorse wrote in an email.

Ashland Police responded to the East Coast gas station on England St. Sunday afternoon to investigate a robbery and woman's abduction. The woman, Amanda Lynn Russnak, worked at the business where the robbery was reported.

"She stated that an adult male entered the back seat of her vehicle, presented a firearm and forced her to drive him to a location on Cross Corner Road in Hanover County," Lt. Shelhorse said. "She stated that once they arrived at the location, he stole an undisclosed amount of cash belonging to the business and fled in an unknown direction."

During the investigation, police figured out the woman's report were false and she, along with two others, worked together to steal the money.

Russnak is charged with conspiracy to commit grand larceny.

Victor Thomas White, of Ashland, is charged with conspiracy to commit grand larceny and grand larceny.

Amber Nicole White, of of Ashland, is charged with conspiracy to commit grand larceny. She and Russnak were co-workers, police said.
