GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WTVR) – A woman convicted of assaulting a Maryland beauty supply store owner during a violent robbery involving $800 worth of weaves and wigs will spend the next five years in prison.

WJLA reports security video shows 19-year-old Yvonne Williams, who was wearing a pink outfit, and two other women trying to get away with the hair back in September.

"They were going around putting items in their bags and I guess she told them not to do that," said Ian Munoz, an employee at the store.

That promoted a physical altercation when Williams attempted to try to take the owner's cell phone from behind the counter. Video then shows the teen use a stroller with an infant in it to attack the victim during the heist.

"She kicks the attendant. She hits her with her own shoe -- and it's very troubling incident,” Maryland Attorney's Office Public Affairs Director Ramon Korionoff said.

At one point, the baby in the stroller actually slips out, falls to the ground and hits its head before being scooped up by one of the women.

Even though Williams is half her size, the brave store owner kept fighting her attacker as the scuffle spilled out to the sidewalk.

The three women and baby eventually got away, but security cameras helped police catch the trio.

Williams was charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault, robbery and child abuse.
