(CNN) - An Australian sea eagle added new meaning to the phrase "bird's eye view" when it took off with a camera.

Park and wildlife rangers put the camera near a river to capture pictures of fresh-water crocodiles.
The bird had another idea. It picked up the camera and flew nearly 70 miles before setting it down.
You can see the eagle appears to pose for a selfie as it pecked at the camera.
The theft happened back in May, but workers recently found the camera which recorded the entire incident.
