LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) — Some hunters discovered human skeletal remains in Louisa County over the weekend.
The hunters came across the remains around 10:30 a.m. Saturday near Sheppard Spring Drive in the Gum Spring area.
Deputies were called to the location to verify, and detectives were dispatched.
Officials said the bones indicate that the person suffered self-inflected gun shot wounds.
According to Lt. Sims, with Louisa County Sheriff department, the remains could have been there since 2008.
