RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) -- A fire broke out at a duplex in Richmond's Museum District Sunday morning.
Richmond firefighters were dispatched to the 3400 block of Grove Ave. at 6:34 a.m. for a report of a fire.
Richmond Fire Lt. Hagaman said crews spotted heavy flames coming from the duplex when they arrived at 6:37 a.m.
It took firefighters about 40 minutes to extinguish the fire.
One occupant was inside when the fire broke out, but made it out safely.
Investigators are still working to determine what sparked the blaze.
The Red Cross is assisting those displaced.
