RENO, Nev. (KTVN) - Two high school sweethearts got married in an unexpected place -- the Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
As Navy sailor Dylan Ruffer returned home from an 11-month tour in Syria, his fiancee Madison Meinhardt waited for him -- in the airport -- wearing a wedding dress.
Dozens of people crowded around the escalators to welcome Dylan home and witness the California couple's airport nuptials.
The two planned to marry a year ago, but Dylan's deployment was unexpectedly extended. Three weeks ago, Madison emailed the airport and said they wanted to get married as fast as possible.
The airport and several businesses provided the flowers, DJ and reception space.
