GRAYSON COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A Virginia tree will be on display this Christmas at Vice President Joe Biden’s Washington D.C. home.
This week Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Matt Lohr, President of the Mt. Rogers Christmas Tree Growers Association Jackie Davis, and farmer Rodney Richardson chose the tree from Richardson’s Grayson County farm.
“Richardson earned the right to provide that tree when he won the Reserve Grand Champion Christmas Tree award from the National Christmas Tree Growers Association,” according to the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. “National Grand Champion winner John Wyckoff of Belvidere, NJ will present a tree to President Obama and family for the White House.”
