Police confirmed that they are on scene in the 4200 block of North Avenue, at the Best Food Market in Northside.
Emergency dispatch confirmed a call came in around 10:37 p.m. Wednesday night, reporting a shooting/attempted robbery, and an ambulance was sent to the scene.
Police tell CBS 6 that two young black males displayed a gun, and a person was shot in the stomach. That person has been taken to VCU Medical Center.
