MINNESTRISTA, Minn. (KARE) – When you think of high school sweethearts getting married, you don’t typically think of them waiting this long to do so.
Gene and Frannie Odash, both 85, tied the knot over the weekend.
Growing up in a small Wisconsin town, the couple date for all four years of high school, but they broke up on graduation day because Gene wanted a big family and Frannie wanted a small one.
Frannie later married and had two children. Gene also married and fathered nine children. After both Frannie and Gene’s spouses passed away, the sweethearts reconnected last year.
Now that they’re married, the couple is now planning a honeymoon cruise.
