Tower work complete, WTVR signal returns to full strength

UPDATE: Tower repair work are complete and WTVR CBS 6 returned its signal to full strength about 4 a.m. Thursday. We appreciated your patience.

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – WTVR CBS 6 is currently transmitting a low-power signal which could impact television reception for viewers who watch CBS 6 over the air on 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3. Viewers who watch on CBS 6 on cable, FiOS and satellite are not impacted.

WTVR CBS 6 switched to a low-power signal so crews could repair the damaged antenna of another local television station.

The crew informed CBS 6 that the work would likely be completed this week, however a definitive end date was not provided.

Most of the major work was completed Monday. Finishing touches and testing is scheduled to happen Tuesday or Wednesday (weather permitting).
