Celebrating The 1st Thanksgiving In Virginia at Berkeley Plantation

RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - History was made here in Central Virginia as the First Thanksgiving was celebrated at what is now known as Berkeley Plantation. Each year, the plantation celebrates the 1619 landing of Captain John Woodlief with a public commemoration. Graham Woodlief, President of the festival, shared more details and actor Jim Barbour who plays Captain John Woodlief shared a monologue.  The 2013 Virginia Thanksgiving Festival is this Sunday, November 3rd  from 12pm to 4pm at Berkeley Plantation, 12602 Harrison landing road in Charles City.
