Mad mom creates ‘stolen pumpkin’ sign

Posted

WASHINGTON, DC (WJLA) - A Washington D.C. mother posted a special message for the thief who stole her toddler's pumpkin.

"Pumpkins get smashed, pumpkins get stolen, of course.  I was really just mad because it was only his pumpkin," mom Becky Reina said.

So she made a sign to address the thief. It started politely enough.

"Thank you for the life lesson, this will help teach him that sometimes people are mean for no reason, and you have to just brush it off," it began.

But then...

"Because my son is two years old and cannot read the sign, I will add, you are an ***hole."

Neighbors agree with the message.

"This person needs to be found, and they should read the sign, and they should recognize that what they did was wrong," neighbor Jamal Edwards said.

"I do hope they see the sign, and I hope they feel bad about it," Reina said.
