Walking To Help Bring Awareness To ALS

RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or ALS is a progressive neuro-degenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, which often leads to total paralysis and death within 2 to 5 years of diagnosis. The Richmond 'Walk to Defeat ALS' hopes to bring awareness to this dreadful disease.  Lynne McMichael and Lauren Schingh shared more details.  The Richmond 'Walk to Defeat ALS' is Saturday, October 26^th  on Brown's Island.
