CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WTVR) – Investigators said the body of a baby was recovered from the closet of a Christiansburg mobile home.
Christiansburg police said suspicious doctors reported that a woman walked into the hospital last week c saying she couldn’t stop bleeding. She denied having a baby.
However, police searched the woman’s home last weekend and found the decomposing body of a baby wrapped in a plastic bag hidden in a closet.
“I was talking to a friend and I’d asked him if she was pregnant because you know her belly was a little big,” said Amanda Griffith, a friend of woman under investigation. “And I even asked her and we were saying she was pregnant and she said she was never pregnant.”
Police, who said the woman has not yet been charged, called the discovery suspicious.
