WASHINGTON D.C. — Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) was photographed playing a poker game on his phone today during a hearing on Syria.
Later in the evening Sen. McCain tweeted, “Scandal! Caught playing iPhone game at 3+ hour Senate hearing – worst of all I lost!”
No apologies have been made. Just a tweet stating that the worst thing in this whole scenario was losing online betting while in talks about the U.S. going to war.
The response on social media was rapid, and not quite as forgiving.
