RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – CBS 6 Storm Team Meteorologist Mike Stone says a broken line of storms ahead of a cold front will continue moving across central and eastern Virginia heading into this evening. [BONUS: Track storms with CBS 6 Interactive Radar]
The risk of severe weather is not very high, but stronger storms will produce wind gusts in excess of 35 to 40 mph and some hail.
With the muggy conditions and slow-moving storms, heavy rainfall will occur. The threat for storms will diminish late this evening.
