Truckers plead guilty to stealing gas

Posted

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) — Two Florida truck drivers have pleaded guilty to stealing hundreds of gallons of fuel from a Prince George gas station.

CBS 6 senior reporter Wayne Covil first reported on the gas thefts at the U.S. Gas Station on Crater Road in October of 2012.

Prosecutors said Osmin Exposition and Miguel Echemendia admitted to switching out the devices in the pumps that record how much fuel was pumped out. So the men were able to get away with much more gas than what they were actually paying for.

The pair were caught several months after they first started taking gas.
