CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WTVR) – Police said a naked man threatened to kill an elderly Virginia couple in their home.
Chesapeake police said Mark Fulk broke into the back of Jim and Helen Hardee's home.
The Hardees said the 22-year-old suspect, who was clad in only a towel, demanded to use their phone.
After the couple handed over their cordless unit, they said Fulk dialed police, but then hung up. However, when he ran into trouble making a second call, the couple said he grew frustrated, tossed the phone across the room and grabbed a knife.
“He picked up the knife and he says, ‘I'll kill you, I'll kill you both,’" Helen Hardee said.
Next Jim Hardee said the suspect threatened to kill him.
"And then he said he was going to kill us both," Hardee said. "At one point he said we're all three gonna die here.”
When police showed up, the Hardees said Fulk just walked right out of the house as if nothing was wrong.
Fulk is currently behind bars up in a Chesapeake jail.
