RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - As delicate as flowers, as tough as steel. Virginia Repertory celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Barksdale Theater with what has become a classic southern tale, "Steel Magnolias". The original 1987 off-Broadway play was based on the writer's true-life story of his sister. Cast members Joy Williams and Kelly Kennedy shared more details. 'Steel Magnolia's is on stage at Hanover Tavern with performances through Sunday, August 25th.
