RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Meteorologist Carrie Rose says you need your umbrellas this Friday morning! Steady rain will continue to track east over central Virginia.
Carrie says a stalling boundary is parking over the Commonwealth right now, just southeast of Richmond. Aloft, there is also upper-level energy encouraging showers and storms.
This boundary will linger in the Commonwealth into Saturday morning, before it mixes out from a southeast breeze, called an "onshore flow" from the coast. Because of previous days of rain, a Flash Flood Watch is in effect for most of our area (except the Northern Neck and the Middle Peninsula) through 6 p.m. Friday.
