Search underway for Virginia man missing in Shenandoah park

LURAY, Va. (WTVR)–Shenandoah National Park Rangers are looking for a missing 21-year-old man.

Tyler Keefer, from Front Royal, Vir., was reported missing on Monday at approximately 12:00 p.m. It is believed he was last seen at the Dickey Ridge Trailhead on July 6. His bicycle was found there.

Officials describe Keefer as a male with brown hair, a mustache and beard and brown eyes, 6’1″ tall, weighs approximately 175 pounds. They believe he may be wearing plain shorts, a T-shirt, hiking boots and may be carrying a small black backpack.

The search is a joint operation between Shenandoah National Park and the Front Royal Police Department.
