Sarah Murnaghan’s body show no signs of rejection for new lungs

Posted

(WTVR) - Sarah Murnaghan's family says the 10-year-old is not showing any signs of rejection for her donor lungs.

Murnaghan was born with cystic fibrosis.  She had the lung transplant on June 12 and still cannot talk due to tubes down her throat.  It's also worth noting that she also had four diaphragm surgeries in less than a month.

Sarah prompted a change in the national transplant policy after she was at first denied a set of adult lungs on a national donor list because she was too young.
