CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - The body of a man who drove off from a Chesterfield checkpoint was found in Falling Creek reservoir Wednesday morning, according to Chesterfield Police.

Police said that Micahel S. Jones, age 58, of Richmond, did not have a driver's license. Jones drove off after officers told him to pull over at the checkpoint earlier Wednesday on Iron Bridge Road at Burnt Oak Drive.

Police followed the man's car into the Ivy Walk Apartments. By the time police caught up to the vehicle, they said it was empty. Soon thereafter, police said they heard yelling from the creek.
