SURRY COUNTY, Va. (WTVR)--Human remains found buried behind a Virginia home have been linked to a seven-year-old murder investigation.
Investigators in Surry County said they received a tip about a 2006 murder at the home. That's when they discovered the scattered body parts, three-feet underground.
Deputies will only comment that the remains are of a black man who would have been in his late 40s at the time of his death.
A suspect is in custody on unrelated charges.
