A scenic section of the James River has been added to a list of America’s most endangered historic places.
A part of the river in James City County made the list of 11 Most Endangered Historic Places by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
There are fears a proposed power line project there would compromise the scenic beauty of historic cultural areas by the river.
The eight-mile transmission line would cross four miles of the river and require as many as 17 towers.
