RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The powerful line of storms that rolled through Richmond Thursday afternoon caused a lot of the city’s historic trees to topple or lose branches.

Sandra Jones talked with one woman whose car was hit by a massive branch in the 2900 block of Kensington Avenue of the city's Museum District.

The owner of the Honda, who works at the Virginia Historical Society, said she was rattled to see the massive branch on top of her car. Even more so, she said, because she normally always parks on the other side of the street.

Officials blocked off the area as a precaution.
