Hanover schools alter schedule following delayed opening

UPDATE: Early dismissal has been canceled today at Chickahominy Middle School and Atlee High School after the schools opened two-hours late this morning, according to Hanover County Public Schools spokeswoman Linda Scarborough.

The delayed opened was due to storm-related power outages.

Chickahominy and Atlee will follow this modified schedule today:

Chickahominy Middle School students

10:30 a.m. – 10:40 a.m.     Home Base

10:44 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.      B1 Exam

11:45 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.    First Lunch

12:15 p.m. – 12:40 p.m.    Second Lunch

12:45 p.m. – 1:10 p.m.      Third Lunch

1:19 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.        B3 Exam

Atlee High School students

10:30 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.    A1/B1 Exam

12:15 p.m. – 12:40 p.m.    Lunch (First Floor)

12:50 p.m. – 1:20 p.m.      Lunch (Second Floor)

1:25 p.m. – 3:10 p.m.        B3 Exam

3:10 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.        Announcements

  • Atlee High School students who have exams today at The Hanover Center for Trades and Technology will take the exams during their scheduled block on Wednesday, June 12, 2013.
  • Atlee High School students who have exams today at Hanover High School will make them up at Hanover High School on Thursday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m.  Transportation will be provided to and from Atlee High School.  The shuttle will leave Atlee High School at 10:30 a.m.
  • Atlee High School students who are unable to take an exam today based upon the adjusted exam schedule will be permitted to take that exam at 11:25 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013.

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Hanover County schools report students at the following schools should report two hours late on Monday, June 10, 2013 due to a power outage:

  • Atlee High School
  • Chickahominy Middle School
  • Cool Spring Elementary School

All staff should report on time.
