HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- The nation's most powerful educator made a stop in Central Virginia on Tuesday.
U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan visited the New Bridge Learning Center in eastern Henrico.
Duncan is traveling the country promoting President Obama's proposal to expand early childhood education, which would make preschool available to all 4-year-olds from low-income families.
Duncan says the president's plan would also expand voluntary home-visiting programs to aid social workers and nurses providing families with services to help their child's development.
