CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WTVR) – A mother of two remains in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a train in Chesapeake, according to a report on WTKR.com. Latisha Woodberry, 35, lost her foot when the train hit her as she crossed the tracks.

“We actually seen her foot, as soon as the train went by it just like flew off,” Woodberry’s niece Deon Robinson said.

The accident happened Monday afternoon as Woodberry and her nieces walked to the store.

“I was behind her and I told her I wasn’t walking past period because I was just going to wait ’til the train left anyway,” Robinson said.
