PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WTVR) – The bodies of two men were found in the Rappahannock River Saturday.

According to the Coast Guard, a Tappahannock resident saw a 15-foot boat capsized near his home.  He then got into his boat and rescued a man.

After returning to shore, they called 911.  A dispatcher then called the Coast Guard in Portsmouth around 10 a.m. to report that a boat had capsized.

The rescued man said there were two other men missing.  The men were not wearing life jackets.

The Coast Guard dispatched helicopters and several boats to search for the missing men.

Divers found their bodies near the capsized boat around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
