RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The threat of storms Saturday was enough to convince Virginia Union University to move weekend commencement ceremonies indoors. According to a university press release, Saturday morning’s ceremony will now take place at Saint Paul’s Baptist Church in Henrico. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
Because the ceremony will held in a smaller venue, the university said anyone attending must have a ticket — the will be no general admission.
“Tickets will be distributed to graduating seniors at Commencement rehearsal, which will be held Thursday, May 9 at 1:30 p.m. in Coburn Hall,” the university advised in the release.
