RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Keep the geese out. That's the goal of a VCU graduate who came up with an idea he hopes will have commercial appeal.
Tarun Sinah and one of his professors built a device that sends out low-frequency vibrations, a vibration that creates a "sound fence" that wards off geese.
The idea came from a heated battle in a Henrico neighborhood a few years ago over whether or not to euthanize geese that lived around the lake.
Neighbors complained the geese were destroying their yards.
This device runs off a pair of motors that vibrate the wire.
Sinah said he is working to make a solar powered version.
