MECHANICSVILLE, Va. (WTVR) -- Two students hit by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon outside Lee-Davis High School in Hanover County have been taken to the hospital.
Officials said two 16-year-old females were hit by a vehicle driven by another student as they were walking across the street.
Sgt. Chris Whitley said the two students were using the cross walk at the time of the accident.
Whitley said the students were struck at a relatively low speed and impact. The teens were transported to VCU Medical Center with what are described as minor injuries.
Deputies are still on the scene investigating the accident.
Charges are pending against the driver.
