HOPEWELL, Va. (WTVR) — Police responded to a report of a shooting early this morning at the 900 block of Buren St.
Inside a home officers found Richard Miles Hawthorne, 41, with a single gunshot wound in the chest. Hawthorne was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a press release the Hopewell Police Department said that the incident doesn’t appear to be a random act of violence and detectives are following strong leads in the case.
