RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- The first ever Carytown Beer Festival on Sunday drew massive crowds.
In fact, thousands came out to celebrate the more than 20 special beers that were crafted in Virginia.
Carytown restaurants also took part in the event and even created food pairings for each brew.
Event organizers are proud that so many folks turned out for the first of its kind event in Carytown.
"Richmond likes to come out. Richmond loves craft beer and the craft beer community… and it's pretty fantastic," one man told CBS 6.
Some proceeds from the event will support local charities and Carytown merchants.
Organizers hope event's success means next year's festival will be bigger and better.
