‘Pippi Longstocking’ arrest: Child star accused of attacking roommate

(WTVR) — The actress who played Pippi Longstocking has been arrested for allegedly assaulting her roommate last week, according to reports.

TMZreports a neighbor reportedly performed a citizen’s arrest on Tami Erin, the child start who brought the iconic “The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking” to life, got into an altercation with her male roommate.

TMZreports that the neighbor reported hearing a loud argument taking place — and then the male roommate crying and begging for help. That’s when the celebrity website reports the neighbor rescued the man and placed Erin under citizen’s arrest.

Police arrived and the arrested the 38-year-old. She was charged with assault and released on Friday morning.

According to TMZ, the roommate showed no visible signs of the alleged attack.

The DA’s office is now investigating the incident to see how to best move forward.
