ANNAPOLIS, Md.(WTVR) – Medical marijuana may soon legal in Maryland.
Governor Martin O’Malley is expected to sign a bill that legalizes the treatment. The senate approved the measure Monday, sending it to the governor’s desk.
Under the legislation, academic medical centers would prescribe the medical marijuana to terminally and or chronically- ill patients.
The patients would then participate in a state study the will be published once it’s completed.
