RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- As snow piles up across Central Virginia on Sunday, a number of crashes and accidents have been reported.

VDOT said crews were out in full force treating and plowing major routes, but that pavement temps would drop to below freezing overnight.
As a result, numerous crashes were reported across the area Sunday afternoon and evening. In fact, at one point there were over 100 reports of accidents in Richmond, Henrico and Chesterfield.
CBS 6 News' Joe St. George caught up with one woman who ran off the road along the Patrick Henry Parkway. She said she was thankful to have insurance -- and warned other folks to stay off the road.
