CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WTVR)–A Chesterfield teenager will do jail time, and he’ll have to write a check to a mother of five, because of what he did to her minivan.
Zachary Dawson was found guilty of shooting the Midlothian’s woman’s van with a paintball gun on Courthouse road in August. Investigators say the 18-year-old also shot at a car in Powhatan County.
The damage will cost Dawson $500. He was sentenced to 30 days, with 22 suspended. He will serve out the eight days over the weekends.
In addition to the jail time, and the fine, Dawson will have to perform 100 hours of community service.
