RANDOLPH COUNTY, NC (WFMY) -- Authorities have located four children who went missing in a rural part of North Carolina Thursday night.
Rescue crews told WFMY that the kids were found huddled together in the woods wearing tattered clothes.
At least 25 people in Randolph County were divided into different teams and combed the area to search for the kids.
Captain Mike Craven said the three 7 year olds and one 5-year-old were playing in a front yard when they wandered off. Two of the children are brothers and the other two are neighbors.
Police said a parent went outside to call them in and couldn't find them.
The kids wandered off in a rural part of the county, north of Highway 705 at Needhams Trail in Seagrove in a heavily wooded area.
Highway Patrol helicopters aided in the search as cold temperatures were are a major concern.
