Nanny-cam video leads to arrest

Posted

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (WTVR) – Police arrested a New York nanny after the woman was caught on camera smacking and shaking a baby girl, according to a report on pix11.com. The nanny, a 52-year-old woman from Russia, is charged with resisting arrest and endangering the welfare of a child.

The nanny’s actions were caught on camera by a “nanny cam” hidden in a carbon monoxide detector.

“My 17-month-old son was very scared of her for no reason,” the mother noted along with the video she posted online. “I didn’t see anything wrong until one day when I took my daughter to dance class which is across the street from my house and while there decided to watch the cameras from the iPad.”

The mother returned home and called police.
