CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA. (WTVR) - The two goats seen roaming along the side of Route 288 in Chesterfield for months, have finally been caught.
CBS 6 first told you about the animals last November. They escaped from an educational exhibit at Camp Thunderbird on Courthouse Road last July.
Animal Control officers have been trying to catch them ever since, and were concerned about the dangers they could pose to drivers. Commuters and nearby residents spotted them numerous times in the median and wandering along the sides of busy roads.
Animal Control officers say one of the goats was found near the Chesterfield County Airport. The other was caught in the original area along Route 10 where the goats were first spotted.
The goats are being held at the Chesterfield County Animal Shelter. They will be returned to their owner.
