ATLANTA, Ga. (CNN)- A vegan food blogger, Victoria Moon Erikson, from Atlanta, vanished last Monday, Jan. 21, while on a visit to Houston.  Now her family is desperately turning to social media to help track her down.

The 31-year-old blogger, whose videos and blogs chronicle her travels from her home in Atlanta to organic and raw food kitchens across the country, was on a cross-county trip.

“She came to us just to get something to eat,“ Pat Greer, owner of Pat Greer’s Kitchen, said.

Erikson showed up at Pat Greer’s Kitchen on West Clay a week and a half ago, was given a job in the vegan kitchen and a place to stay with her dog in a room on the second floor.

“Last time I saw her was Monday,” Greer said.

That was the last time anyone heard from her. She walked away, vanished and left her dog behind.

Erikson’s car, with all of her possessions inside is still parked at the back door of the kitchen.

“Her car is here, her computer is here, her iPhone is here, her wallet, her ID,” Greer said.

Her family in Atlanta took to the web to ask for help in Houston, with her brother Paul Samford posting on the social media site Reddit.*

Samford said his sister is a loner, sometimes living in her car. However, he said she’s never walked away from everything before.

“When she and I would talk about any of those kinds of things I would let her know that I didn’t think that was the safest, greatest idea. But she’s fearless. She’s just fearless, she always has been,” Samford said.

Greer said, “I think maybe she’s really opted to leave, just leave her life. And I don’t know what that means. She’s opted to take her life or to just try to start a new one.”

Whatever has happened to Victoria Moon Erikson, her friends and family hope the same type of social media that was helping her make a living will also help find her alive and bring her home.
