Acid spill on Route 10 in Hopewell
HOPEWELL, Va. (WTVR) – HAZMAT crews responded to an acid spill on Route 10 near the Hopewell – Chesterfield County line. Chesterfield Fire Lt. Jason Elmore said crews determined the leaked acid was not hazardous and said the road would soon reopen.
The spill had Randolph Road (Route 10) in Hopewell closed from City Point Road to 6th Street, Hopewell Police Capt. Greg Taylor said.
Police are looking for the truck that leaked the substance.
